Questions about the program

Who is the CMP Referral Partner Program designed for?

The CMP Referral Partner Program is designed for professionals who already work with retailers that carry meaningful inventory, including Bookkeepers, CPAs/Firms, Fractional CFOs, POS/Retail Consultants (Square, Lightspeed, Shopify POS), Inventory Management Consultants, Commercial Insurance Brokers, and Commercial Real Estate Brokers/Landlords. It gives you a simple, credible way to help retail clients improve profitability without adding delivery work to your own practice.

What makes a retailer a qualified referral for CMP?

A qualified retailer sells physical products (not services‑only), has at least 250 SKUs (500+ preferred), uses a POS or system with exportable sales and inventory data, has an owner‑involved decision maker, and is located in the DMV or Charlotte metro (other geographies considered selectively).

How does the referral process actually work?

You apply to become a CMP Referral Partner and, if approved, receive the CMP Partner Kit and intro email templates. From there, you introduce CMP to qualified retailers (up to two per month), CMP runs the evaluation and engagement end‑to‑end, and you receive referral fees on closed engagements with monthly payouts.

How are referral fees structured, and how long do they last?

Partners receive referral fees on every closed engagement, with specific fee details shared after you’re approved, not posted publicly. Referral fees for a given client apply until the earlier of six months from the client’s start date or a total of $3,000 in referral fees for that client.

How does CMP protect my client relationships?

CMP is designed to complement your work, not compete with it. CMP does not market to your client list, does not compete with your services, does not attempt to replace your role, and does not contact your clients without a clear introduction or context—your relationship stays primary while CMP delivers the outcomes.

How many introductions can I make, and how “warm” do they need to be?

Each partner may introduce up to two qualified retailers per month to maintain quality and responsiveness. CMP provides intro email templates, and you are not required to personally know every retailer—CMP simply needs an introduction that leads to a meeting with a qualified decision maker.
